Sohri Skill Runtime v0.1.2

Release date: 2026-08-19

Overview

v0.1.2 simplifies Sohri Skill Runtime from a per-Skill execution service into a generic execution proxy. It converts Graph Builder's common execution request and forwards it to Sohri Skill Engine's common execution API.

Highlights

Generic Skill execution

  • The public API is consolidated into POST /v1/skills/execute.
  • Graph Builder's skill_id is converted to Skill Engine's skill.
  • kebab-case Skill IDs are converted to snake_case.
  • Example: special-days → special_days
  • arguments are forwarded unchanged as Skill Engine's input.
  • context is accepted for Graph Builder compatibility but not forwarded to Skill Engine.
  • Skill Engine's result is wrapped in the Runtime's common response.

Simplified structure

  • Removed the per-Skill weather.py and special_days.py implementations.
  • Removed the hard-coded Skill Registry and per-Skill request/response models.
  • Moved per-Skill input validation and response normalization to Skill Engine.
  • Removed the Runtime cache and automatic retries to avoid duplicate side effects from execution POSTs.

API and operations

  • Removed these per-Skill APIs:
  • GET /v1/skills
  • POST /v1/weather
  • POST /v1/special-days
  • The readiness response reports whether the Skill Engine URL is configured.
  • The CLI smoke test now takes --skill-id and JSON --arguments.
  • Removed unused provider API keys, Secrets, and cache and retry settings.
  • Updated OpenAPI, Helm, Docker Compose, the notebook, and the user docs for the generic proxy design.

API example

Graph Builder request:

{
  "skill_id": "sample-skill",
  "arguments": {
    "query": "example"
  },
  "context": {}
}

Request forwarded to Skill Engine:

{
  "skill": "sample_skill",
  "input": {
    "query": "example"
  }
}

Compatibility

This release removes APIs. Clients using the old per-Skill endpoints must move to the POST /v1/skills/execute contract.

Verification

  • All 18 tests pass
  • Ruff checks pass
  • Helm chart and per-environment values render correctly
  • Docker Compose configuration validated
